For the development of this innovative instrument, all the parameters influencing the accuracy of the D3241 / IP323 test method have been identified. For each of these parameters an innovative and reliable solution has been developed. This very successful apparatus is unmatched in the market. The preparation of the test is simplified. No tools are needed for assembly and the heating tube mounting. An extremely intuitive teaching software makes it possible to rapidly initiate a test and if necessary to follow step by step its progress.
Applications
Based on its flexibility, its robustness and reliability, the TO10 is designed for any type of applications, research, and civilian and military fuel certification.
The Video Distillation VD10 (ASTM D86) revolutionizes distillation testing by bringing unmatched automation and precision to the analysis of atmospheric distillation of petroleum products.
Powered by innovation, the VD10 (ASTM D86) analyzer revolutionizes this routine analysis of petroleum products by providing unparalleled automation and precision.
The powerful algorithm assisted by video camera (patent pending) analyzes in real time the boiling behavior of the sample in the flask during the distillation run and applies optimal heating to strictly respect conditions of the chosen method.
As an experienced manual distillation operator, visual monitoring allows the VD10 (ASTM D86) to detect boiling changes early enough ato anticipate the appropriate heating regulation to reach IBP, 5% in given time, and the distillation rate control. No need for programming or optimization, the distillation test is perfect from the first try even for unknown or difficult samples like biofuels.
The Smoke Point method, in accordance with ASTM D1322, IP57, and ISO3014, is one of the oldest test methods in the petroleum industry.
This test method provides an indication of the relative smoke producing properties of kerosenes and aviation turbine fuels in a diffusion flame. The smoke point is related to the hydrocarbon composition of such fuels. Generally, the more aromatic the fuel, the smokier the flame. A high smoke point indicates a fuel of low smoke producing tendency.
Performing the smoke point test manually requires highly skilled technicians with years of experience. Additionally, the manual test is time consuming.
The current visual rating method used for specification purposes suffers from the drawback of operator subjectivity. The visual measurement of an open flame is a challenging exercise and dangerous for lab personnel. The visual rating of the flame varies from one operator to another.

This test method specifies a procedure for the determination of the kinematic viscosity of liquid petroleum products, both transparent and opaque, by measuring the time for a volume of liquid to flow under gravity through a calibrated glass capillary viscometer.
Main Characteristics
Bath can be operated from ambient +5°C up to +230°C (41..446°F). With the use of the built-in cooling coil and an external Tamson cooler, span lies 5K above the temperature of the cooling liquid. The TV2000, TV4000 and TV7000 have a bath volume of 20, 40 and 70 liters respectivily. The TV4000 have a stainless steel cover with 7 openings and lids. These will accommodate glass capilary viscometers in viscometer holders.
The TV4000DC has the same specific qualities as the TV4000, but with a uniqe stability of 0.0007°C at 40°C. A bath overflow outlet protects from expanding bath oil when the bath filling is too high. A bath drain is standard included. The bath is fitted with a double window of which the front pane is detachable for cleaning purposes.

The B/R 1100 is an easy to use ASTM D1160 (ISO 6616) Vacuum Distillation Apparatus for the distillation of petroleum products. It is available in 3 forms. Automated, Semi-Automated and Manually Operated. The automated D1160 features automated control from a PC along with standard ASTM glassware. Vacuum level, bath tem- perature, distillation rate, are all programmable through the PC and are controlled automatically. Thousands of programs can be stored.
