Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions offers various automated solutions for a Detailed Hydrocarbon Analysis (DHA) to determine the individual hydrocarbon components in light petroleum streams such as naphtha, reformate and gasoline. All DHA Analyzers are based upon the flexible, reliable Agilent 7890 GC configured with dedicated columns, injection ports and detectors.
All DHA solutions comply with the standard ASTM test methods for a detailed hydrocarbon analysis:
· ASTM D5134
· ASTM D6729
· ASTM D6730
· ASTM D6733
· ASTM D7900
Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions offers a complete range of Simdis Analyzers that comply with all standard test methods of ASTM, DIN, EN, IP and ISO for a simulated distillation. Each DVLS Simdis analyzer is based upon the Agilent 7890B Series Gas Chromatograph configured with the required hardware and software components.
The Simdis analyzers comply with all standard test methods of ASTM, DIN, EN, IP and ISO for a simulated distillation:
• ASTM D2887, D5442, D6352, D7096, D7169, D7213, D7398, D7500
• IP 406, IP 480, IP 507, IP 545

The Liquefied Gas Injector (LGI) has been standardized as ASTM D7756 and EN 16423 for the analysis of residues in liquefied petroleum gases by gas chromatography. Adapting the hardware setup allows to extend the LPG analysis to a wider application range.
Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions (DVLS) offers an automated gas solution to characterize the composition of refinery gases and liquefied gases under pressure such as LPG, Ethylene and Propylene. It has a 5 minute run time and it is configured on the new Agilent 8890 GC, with LPG options. The molsieve column can be conditioned in the GC to restore the O2, N2CO & Methane separation. Hydrogen is an ideal alternative to helium as a carrier gas; it offers a faster analysis, a higher efficiency, reduced costs and a prolonged column life. Unfortunately, the use of hydrogen could also be dangerous. To eliminate the risks in using hydrogen as a carrier gas Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions developed the DVLS³ Simply, Smart Sensor. By constantly monitoring the hydrogen concentration in the GC oven and automatically switching to an inert gas the DVLS³ Simply, Smart Sensor ensures the safe use of hydrogen in a GC analysis.
